Oliver's Rare Adventure

The blog, Oliver's Rare Adventure, was created to raise awareness about Galactosemia, a rare metabolic disorder that affects a person’s ability to process the simple sugar, galactose. Oliver's mom wanted an "O", "G" and three birds incorporated into the logo. While the reasons for the letters are obvious, the birds were inspired by Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds" - sung to comfort Oliver. The logo was also used on t-shirts for research fundraising efforts. Being one cute kid, I was also inspired to make a graphic version of Oliver, which his mom has adapted as a secondary brand graphic.
